|About me, I am Jean-Louis Naveilhan, I have been in the wine trade for 21 years and spent half of my professional life in London.
Apart from my consultancy work, I am also working as the head Sommelier in the renowned Japanese restaurant "Sumosan" in Mayfair, London.
I have considerable experience in the wine retail industry and working as a sommelier, my knowledge has been broadened by the abundant discovery of the wines and sakes globally as well as extensive wine tasting and buying trips in the UK and abroad (e.g. I taste over 7000 wines on average in a year) . I also worked in wine production which very much enhances my experience and strength in this field.
An active and constant contact with the suppliers, customers and fellow trade members provides me with all I require to share my passion for sourcing wines and drinks which offer unique and outstanding characters; I have always wanted to give back what I learned, therefore, setting up a consultancy service for restaurants, retailers and individual customers make a complete sense to me. .
